The members of the Chicago Police Department Baseball Club are extremely honored to have raised over $110,000 dollars in the past six years that was donated to charity. No other Chicago Police Department Club or Organization has raised more money in that time span then the CPD Baseball Club.

The charities that have benefited from the CPD Baseball Club`s donations have been the Gold Star Families, St. Michael`s House, The Police and Fire Widows and Children Benefit Fund, and the STOP Colon Cancer Fund. We are proud to be associated with these fine organizations that do great work in the law enforcement community.

In addition, the CPD Baseball Club has donated money to Chicago Police Officer`s families who have paid the ultimate sacrifice to our city. The Ceriale Family, the Knight Family, the Camp Family, the Lee Family, the Marquez Family, and the Sliva Family have all received donations from our club.

In 2008, the CPD Baseball Club will be donating money to the CPD Memorial Foundation to help in their efforts to maintain the CPD Memorial dedicated to all Chicago Police Officers killed in the line of duty or killed in the performance of duty. More information on this worthy cause can be found at cpdmemorial.org.

In addition, Finest members donate their time to help coach and assist various youth teams. For example, some Finest assisted the Chicago Public Schools 2004 outdoor `Spring Fling` activity for cognitively delayed and multiply handicapped students. The theme was `Take Me Out To The Ball Game.`

Finally, all members feel privileged to be able to play baseball and by doing so raise money for our charities. For more information about any of the above charities or to inquire about making a donation, please contact any of the board members of the CPD Baseball Club.
